The number of applicants for these careers is expected to rise over the next five years.

In-home nurse. Vocational nurses are licensed to take care of the sick, disabled, or dying under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse with more training. Since more and more people prefer to move care to the home, in-home nurses will find more job opportunities.

Nurse practitioner. Today, healthcare is becoming more popular in non-hospital settings like the home. A nurse practitioner is someone who will provide medical care to patient and act as a consultant to other practicing nurses.

Psychiatrist Psychiatrists specialize in diagnosing and treating mental illnesses and other emotional disorders. With stress from work accumulating, more and more people are turning to psychiatrists to help them deal with their daily lives.

X-ray technicians. Also known as radiological technicians, they are in charge of explaining x-rays to patients, making the x-ray images for the doctor to interpret, and keeping records of the patients’ x-rays and treatment.
