LinkedIn is much like a social networking site, only more professional and career-oriented. It is not like a regular job hunting website; LinkedIn relies heavily on the professional networking aspect, particularly in its recommendation / referral system in order for employers to find suitable candidates for jobs and for job seekers to be found by recruiters in their respective industries.
